Originally a native of Wyoming, the least populated state in the USA. In the early 90’s I developed an interest in learning Chinese. My first exposure to Chinese came in the form of fireworks at a local shop and a cassette tape purchased at Rimrock Mall in Billings, Montana. This was completely out of the ordinary for most Americans at the time, more so for someone from Northwestern Wyoming.
This interest soon became an obsession that lives on to this day.
The first full-time stint I had in Asia was 1993 in Taiwan for two years. I have been consumed by Asia ever since. I was the first person in my immediate family to go to university, my chosen major: Chinese Language.
I have been living, studying, or working between Taiwan and China for most of the past thirty years and I am still obsessed with everything here. The cultures, arts, foods, history, and lifestyles of people in this part of the world continue to fascinate me every day.
While living in Taiwan and Mainland China I have had the opportunity to travel to many other countries in Asia and discovered a love for every place I have been to. In addition to Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau other places such as Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and others have won my heart and respect as well. There are so many “treasures” waiting to be discovered.
In March of 2023 I decided to stop working for corporations and focus exclusively on what matters most to me: being a bridge between my original home and this place I love so much.

最初是美國懷俄明州人，懷俄明是全美國人口最少的州。在90年代初，我對學習中開始有興趣。我第一次接觸中文是在當地一家賣烟花的小商店和在蒙大拿州比林斯的里姆羅克購物中心購買的磁帶。對於當時大多數的美國人來説，這完全不尋常的，對於來自懷俄明州西北部的人來説更是如此。
這種興趣很快成爲一種癡迷，一直持續到今天。
1993年，我第一次長期住在亞洲就在台灣呆兩年。從此經驗以後，我被亞洲迷住了。因此，我決定作爲我直系親屬中第一個上大學的人，我選擇的專業是：中文。
在過去的三十多年裡，我一直在台灣和中國大陸之間生活，學習或工作，我仍然癡迷於這裡的一切。亞洲這地區人們的文化，藝術，食物，歷史和生活方式每天都讓我著迷。
在台灣和中國大陸生活期間，我有機會前往亞洲許多其他國家，並發現了對我去過的每一個地方的熱愛。除了中國大陸，台灣，香港和澳門以外，遼國，越南，柬埔寨，泰國，馬來西亞，菲律賓，日本，韓國，新加坡，印尼等其他地方也贏得了我的心和尊重。這些國家有太多的“寶藏”等待被發現。
2023年3月我決定停止為公司工作，只專注於對我來説最重要的事情：成爲我原來的家和我深愛亞洲的國家之間的橋梁。
